Servings Per Container
The amount of coffee you get from a bag of beans depends on how strong you like your coffee. A common recommendation is to use 1 to 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per six ounces of water. A tablespoon of coffee is about 5 grams. So, let's take the midpoint and assume we're using 1.5 tablespoons or approximately 7.5 grams of coffee per 6-ounce serving.
Bag size (oz/lb) | Bag size (grams) | Serving size (grams) | Approx. Hot Brew Servings | Espresso Shots (9g) | Cold Brew Total (oz)* |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
12 oz | 340 grams | 7.5 grams | ~45 servings | ~37 shots | ~96 oz |
5 lb (80 oz) | 2268 grams | 7.5 grams | ~302 servings | ~252 shots | ~640 oz |
*Cold brew assumes 1 oz of coffee makes 8 oz of cold brew concentrate.
Please note: These are approximations and actual servings may vary depending on your specific brewing method and taste preference.
